A British Army cap badge from the 13th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Kensington), later known as the Kensington Regiment (Princess Louise's).
The 13th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Kensington) was a Territorial unit of the British Army.
Formed in 1859 as a volunteer corps, it grew into a front-line combat battalion famed for its resilience under fire.
The regiment saw extensive front-line active service during both World War I and World War II before eventually being amalgamated with the Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's Own), bringing an end to its century-long history as a standalone London regiment
