1943 Dated Christmas Dinner Menu from RAF West Malling with Signatures

 This document is a Christmas Day menu from 1943 for the Royal Air Force (RAF) Station West Malling in Kent.

During World War II, West Malling was a premier night-fighter base and played a critical role in the defence of Britain.

At the time of this dinner in 1943, the station was under the command of Group Captain Peter Townsend, a famous Battle of Britain ace.

The menu measures 166mm x 121mm and is in an overall good condition for its age with some staining and a crease across the centre.

On the reverse are a number of signatures from members of the Royal Air Force who attended the dinner.
