A 1st pattern British Army Dental Corps (ADC) brass cap badge used between 1921 and 1948.

The Army Dental Corps was officially created by Royal Warrant on January 4, 1921.

Before this, military dentistry was handled by the dental branch of the Royal Army Medical Corps.

In November 1946, King George VI granted the "Royal" prefix to the unit for its exceptional service during World War II, renaming it the Royal Army Dental Corps (RADC).

This original monogrammed badge continued to be worn until a completely new design—featuring a dragon's head holding a sword and the motto Ex Dentibus Ensis—was authorized in 1948.

This badge is in a very good condition.

Brass with slider to the rear.
