Original British Army Herefordshire Light Infantry Cap Badge (1964 -1967)

An original white metal cap badge for the Herefordshire Light Infantry.

Features the iconic lion rampant holding a dagger, standing upon a scroll reading "MANU FORTI" (With a Strong Hand), all set within a traditional Light Infantry stringed powder horn / bugle.

Complete with its original, sturdy brass slider.

The slider is clearly stamped with the sought-after maker's mark: "J.R. GAUNT B'HAM", dating its production to the post-1964 Birmingham Mint acquisition period.

Excellent vintage/surplus condition.

Crisp detailing on both the front face and back stamp.

Shows a beautiful natural age patina on the brass slider.

No bends, cracks, or repairs.
