A genuine World War I British Army Service Corps (ASC) Officer’s Swagger Stick.

This piece can be definitively dated pre-November 1918, as it carries the original "ASC" monogram rather than the later "RASC" (Royal) prefix granted by King George V at the end of the war.

Features the beautiful, crisp 1901–1918 pattern ASC insignia. The stylized "ASC" cypher rests inside a central garter ring bearing the royal motto "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense", all set over an 8-pointed Garter Star and surmounted by the King's Tudor Crown.

A classic polished wood/malacca cane shaft that shows a wonderful, honest bow/curve—the exact mark of an antique stick that was carried tucked under an officer's armpit for years.

The bottom metal tip is present and securely attached.

It displays a heavily flattened base and a lovely dimpled patina, proving real parade ground or field usage.

The mounts are service-grade white metal/nickel silver (no modern hallmarks, standard for field gear of the period) and retain a fantastic historical patina.

An authentic, field-used item in good antique condition.

The stick displays a natural, honest curve to the wood shaft from historical carrying.

The metal mounts show minor field dings, surface scratching, and a deep aged patina consistent with its ~110-year age.

A completely un-tampered-with piece of British military history.

Length approx 76cms.
