Original WWII Canadian Parachute Corps Cap Badge

Here we have an original World War II Canadian Parachute Corps cap badge which was worn by members of the famous 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.

In a very good condition.

Brass with slider to the rear.

The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion was formed in 1942.

They were the first Canadian troops to land on French soil during D-Day on June 6, 1944.

They operated under the British 6th Airborne Division.

The unit was disbanded in September 1945 following the conclusion of the war.
