Original WWII Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) Cap Badge.
The Canadian Scottish Regiment holds an elite place in World War II history.
The 1st Battalion mobilised for active service in 1940 and crossed the English Channel to land on Juno Beach on D-Day (June 6, 1944) as part of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division.
They fought continuously through the brutal battle for Normandy, the clearance of the Channel Ports, the gruelling Battle of the Scheldt, and the final push through the Rhineland.
This badge is in a very good condition and displays a beautiful, untouched natural patina with crisp, sharp detailing across the die work.
Brass with lugs and pin to the rear.
The photographs are of the actual item and form part of the description.
