Original WWII German  Hitler Youth Shooting Proficiency Marksman Badge (HJ-Schiessauszeichnung).

The badge was first instituted in January 1936 by Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach to encourage small-bore rifle shooting proficiency among youth aged 16 and older.

To earn this badge, a member had to complete specific target shooting trials with a miniature rifle from prone (both supported and unsupported) and kneeling positions.

The badge served as a key motivational tool in the systematic pre-military training and indoctrination of German youth leading up to and during World War II.

The badge is in an overall good uncleaned condition with good detail to the front.

Reverse of the badge is marked with embossed RZM mark manufacturers code, “M1/63” indicating manufactured by Steinhauer & Lück, a highly prolific medal and insignia manufacturer based in Lüdenscheid.

Badge is also complete with its original combined pin and catch assembly intact to reverse. .
