An original World War II era German military (and civilian) ration packet of Kristall-Süßstoff Saccharin (Crystal Artificial Sweetener).

Manufactured during the height of wartime shortages by the Deutsche Süßstoff-Gesellschaft m.b.H. Berlin W35, these highly concentrated synthetic sweetening agents were heavily relied upon by both the civilian population and frontline Wehrmacht soldiers to stretch depleted sugar rations.

The front of the packet features a striking, crisp blue and yellow lithograph printing in traditional German Fraktur script.

Labeled for "1 ¼ g" of product, it notes that the small contents carry the equivalent sweetening power of approximately 550 grams of standard sugar.

Features the distinct white diamond layout with the letter "H".

The rear displays the complete "Gebrauchs-Anweisung" (Instructions for Use).

It instructs the user to dissolve the package contents into a half-liter of warm water to create a stable master solution, noting that one single teaspoon yields the equivalent sweetness of 3 standard sugar cubes.

Stamped on the bottom reverse boundary with Genehmigte Inlandspackung (Approved Domestic Packaging), indicating compliance with strict Third Reich wartime production guidelines.

In mint, unissued warehouse surplus condition.

Excellent shelf presentation.

The paper envelope remains completely crisp with sharp corners, tight factory glue seams, and vibrant, unfaded ink colours.

No water damage, damp tracking, or crystal leakage.

 Dimensions: 89mm x 60mm
