Here we have a very good example of a WW1 Pritchard-Greener Type Webley Service Revolver Bayonet.

Though not an original Pritchard-Greener this is still a very nice later version.

The original bayonet was designed in 1916 by Lieutenant Arthur Pritchard for close-quarters trench warfare, this bayonet was meant to be attached to the revolver barrel of the Webley Mk VI Service Revolver.

It weighs 360g and has an overall length of 32cm (12.5 inches) with a 21cm (8.25 inches) blade.

The blade is clean and free from nicks, the brass shows signs of service wear and the spring-loaded locking catch is free and working as it should.

The patent no. is stamped to the cross guard (originals were hand engraved).

The photographs are of the actual item and form part of the description.
