An exceptional, scarce matching pair of facing collar badges for the Hampshire New Forest Cadet Detachment (associated with the 7th Battalion, The Royal Hampshire Regiment).

These distinct badges feature the famous historical New Forest "Dog Gauge" (stirrup) design, which was traditionally used to test if a dog was small enough to hunt in the royal forests.

These are the highly collectible plastic economy variants, produced due to wartime metal shortages.

Unlike many surviving examples which are often singles, this listing is for a complete pair.

Excellent vintage condition with great colour preservation.

Crisp moulded details with the gold-tone finish completely intact with no cracks or warping.

The rear surfaces are clean.

Both integral attachment loops are fully intact and structurally sound on both badges.

No repairs or modifications.

The photographs are of the actual item and form part of the description.
