An exceptional, museum-grade, three-piece historical artifact grouping from the renowned manufacturing firm Thiele & Steinert (Berlin SW 68, Alexandrinenstr. 89).

This is an authentic factory master pattern set (Hausmuster), used as the internal quality control reference piece for bulk military production during the Second World War.

The grouping is dated January 14, 1942, and is perfectly synchronised under internal factory pattern control number 5592.

Because these items remained protected in the manufacturer’s archive throughout the war, the set is preserved in breathtaking, pristine condition.

The Grouping Includes:

  • The Factory Master Envelope: Features the crisp, black printed Thiele & Steinert company logo and Berlin address. It is hand-inscribed in period Sütterlin script with the pattern number 5592, the filing date 14.1.42, secondary tracking number 6505, and the handwritten item designation “Mar. Mützenkranz” (Marine Cap Wreath). It features an ink-stamped illustration of the oak leaf wreath design directly in the center to act as a visual filing label.
  • The Internal Archival Tag: The original cardboard Hausmuster tracking ticket, bearing matching handwriting, pattern numbers, and the January 14, 1942 approval date.
  • The Gold Bullion Wreath & Lead Security Seal: A mint, unissued Kriegsmarine Officer’s visor cap wreath. It is exquisitely hand-embroidered with bright, golden wire bullion on a dark navy-blue wool backing. Crucially, the badge remains permanently attached to the cardboard archive tag by its original string and the authentic, tightly crimped "TS" (Thiele & Steinert) lead factory security seal. The seal is completely intact and unaltered

Insignia: Mint, factory-fresh condition. The gold wire bullion remains incredibly bright with zero oxidation, fraying, or moth damage. The reverse side shows textbook hand-guided machine stitching.

Paper / Tag: Excellent condition. Minor age-toning to the paper consistent with 80+ year old wood-pulp stock. The envelope remains crisp with sharp edges and no major tears.
