This is a vintage Other Ranks' metal cap badge for The Brockville Rifles, a historic Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Army based in Brockville, Ontario.
This striking die-struck insignia is shaped as a traditional rifle regiment Maltese Cross.
The centre features an elegant powder horn/bugle design, encircled by the regimental title "THE BROCKVILLE RIFLES".
The top arm of the cross honours their First World War valour at "AMIENS", while the bottom scroll reads "PURSUIT TO MONS".
The piece is surmounted by the Queen's Crown (St. Edward's Crown), securely dating its issue and wear to the post-1952 Elizabethan era.
The badge is in an excellent, crisp vintage condition with minimal surface oxidation or wear.
The metal finish remains clean and bright and the fine text inscriptions and the textured hatching on the Maltese Cross are highly defined.
The brass slider is firmly attached to the reverse of the crown and cross, showing completely normal age patina without bending or fatigue.
