This is a vintage Lorraine-Dietrich French automobile advertising brass letter opener.

It dates from around 1905 to 1910 and is in a very good condition.

The length is approx: 17cms 

This item was created as a premium advertising piece for Lorraine-Dietrich, a prominent French automobile and aircraft engine manufacturer active from 1896 until 1935.

The address stamped on the blade points to their commercial office or showroom located in Neuilly-sur-Seine, just outside Paris.

To the other side of the blade are relief decorations highly symbolic of the manufacturer's home region in France.
