The "Air Raid Precautions" (ARP) cigarette card series is a famous 50-card set released in 1938 by W.D. & H.O. Wills in collaboration with the British government.
Designed to educate the British public on civilian defence and survival strategies ahead of World War II.
Because smoking was highly prevalent in 1930s Britain, the government utilised cigarette packs as a high-reach medium to distribute critical public safety information.
The series was distributed across multiple Imperial Tobacco brands—including Wills, Ogden's, Churchman, and Hignett.
Production of these detailed information cards ceased during WWII due to wartime paper shortages.
This is a complete set of 50 (unstuck) cards in protective wallets, in an overall very good condition.
