A genuine period example of a London Volunteer Rifles cap badge, widely worn by home defence units during the Great War under the Volunteer Training Corps (VTC).

Features the iconic light infantry strung bugle horn design topped with an elegant ribbon bow.

The banner is cleanly struck with "VOLUNTEERS". At the center stands a detailed lion passant carrying a guidon flag explicitly marked with the "LVR" initials.

Retains its original factory chemically-blackened/painted finish, traditionally used by rifle units to eliminate field reflections.

Shows light patina and minor paint wear on the high points/slider tip consistent with authentic age.

Features the classic, long flat slider correct for the era's soft service caps.
