2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry Cap Badge.

The 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry was formed in September 1939, from the duplication of the 1st.

Its white-metal cap badge, also a prancing white horse of Hanover, was encompassed within an oval with the title 'Northamptonshire Yeomanry'.

Commonly, the central void was backed by royal blue cloth.

Raised for the RAC, it formed the heavy armoured reconnaissance regiment of the 11th Armoured Division in Normandy; suffering heavy losses, it was broken up to provide drafts for other regiments in August 1944.

In a very good used condition.

Metal with pin and lugs to the rear .
