An exceptional, period-authentic British Army souvenir "hate" belt assembled by a British soldier during the World War II era.

The foundation of this superb collector's piece is an original British 1903 Pattern Leather Waist Belt, a design heavily utilised by rear-echelon troops, artillery crews, and the Home Guard throughout the Second World War.

The leather retains its deep brown colour with honest field wear.

The belt serves as a fantastic canvas for 20 items of British and Commonwealth military insignia.

It comprehensively charts frontline combat units, armoured divisions, flying wings, vital support corps, and medical services.

The metal badges display an excellent age-related patina ranging from bright white-metal highlights to deeply toned brass.

No polish has been applied, preserving the authentic look.

Flipping the belt over reveals a fascinating, honest look at period field-craft.

The badges are firmly anchored into the leather using their original brass cap sliders, split cotter pins, and hand-twisted copper wire loops, providing firm confirmation of its period assembly.

The heavy-duty leather belt remains robust and structurally sound, showing expected age related surface cracking and scarring.
