World War II British Royal Air Force (RAF) Eagle Shoulder Patch also commonly referred to as an "albatross".
These patches were worn on each shoulder by all enlisted members of the RAF with the rank of Flight Sergeant and under.
They were typically worn in matched pairs, with the bird's head always facing toward the rear.
This example is a printed pattern, introduced in 1941 as an economy measure during the war.
The photographs are of the actual item and form part of the description.
