The Silver ARP (Air Raid Precautions) Badge was a British award given to civilian volunteers—such as air raid wardens, first aid workers, and rescue teams—who completed their training during World War II.
Issued by the Home Office starting in 1937, these sterling silver badges served as official identification for those serving on the "Home Front"
The reverse bearing London hallmarks for 1938 and maker's mark 'J.C' which where the marks for the Royal Mint (Initials are those of Sir John Herbert McCutcheon Craig, Deputy Master and Comptroller of the Royal Mint from 1938).
In a very good condition.
