WWI 21st (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles) Cap Badge.
The 1st Surrey Rifles was a historic volunteer unit of the British Army originally raised in 1859.
Following the 1908 Haldane Reforms, it became the 21st Battalion of the new London Regiment.
This specific pattern of cap badge was worn extensively through World War I and remained in service until 1935 and features the infamous historical manufacturing error "1903", as the correct founding date of the original volunteer corps was actually 1803
This badge is in a very good used condition.
Bi-metal with slider to the rear.
