WWI Royal Sussex Regiment Cap Badge - Rare LAMBOURNE & CO BIRMINGHAM Stamped

An original, genuine World War I period bimetal cap badge to The Royal Sussex Regiment.

This is a highly desirable example for the discerning militaria collector, featuring a crisp, authentic maker's stamp on the slider: "LAMBOURNE & CO / BIRMINGHAM".

Records confirm this specific contract stamp was only used between May 1915 and August 1917, directly dating this piece to the height of the Great War.

This badge is in a good uncleaned condition with some verdigris to the slider.
