This is an original WWII-Era Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps (RCOC) Other Ranks Brass Cap Badge.
This pattern was authorised and worn between 1926 and 1952.
The Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps played a massive logistical role during World War II, managing everything from ammunition supply and vehicle repair to clothing distribution for the Canadian Army overseas.
This badge would have been worn on the Service Dress cap, Field Service cap, or wool beret of an enlisted soldier or non-commissioned officer serving in Canada or on the front lines in Europe.
This badge is in a very good condition with beautifully aged, uncleaned natural patina.
There is minor, authentic white residue in the deep crevices from historical applications of military button polish (such as Brasso) during its period of service.
Brass with lugs and pin to the rear.
The photographs are of the actual item and form part of the description.
