An original World War II German military field dressing (Verbandpäckchen).
Produced in 1943 by the medical manufacturing company Paul Hartmann A.-G based out of Heidenheim (Brenz), Germany.
It is also marked "Paris" because the German manufacturer utilised requisitioned factories in occupied France to supply the Wehrmacht (German Army) during the war.
The reverse side of the field dressing contains the printed instructions for use (Gebrauchsanweisung).
These dressings were standard issue survival equipment carried by soldiers, typically kept in a dedicated internal pocket on the lower right side of the uniform jacket.
The photographs are of the actual item and form part of the description.
