 WWII German Waffen-SS Mountain Troops (Gebirgsjäger) Edelweiss Sleeve Insignia.

Worn exclusively by elite light infantry trained for mountain warfare, known as Gebirgsjäger.

The insignia was approved for Waffen-SS mountain units starting on October 1, 1943.

It was traditionally sewn onto the upper right sleeve of service tunics, field blouses, and greatcoats. 

Measuring approx 70mm x 50mm
