 WWII German Wehrmacht Medical Personnel (Sanitätstruppen) Shoulder Board Insignia.

The badges were attached directly to the dress or field shoulder straps/boards of German military physicians, surgeons, and medical non-commissioned officers to denote their branch of service.

The insignia depicts the Rod of Asclepius (a single snake entwined around a staff), which is the traditional Greek symbol associated with medicine and healing.

They were typically manufactured using stamped aluminium or silver-washed zinc, featuring small integration prongs on the reverse side to pin them into the uniform fabric.

This pair is in an overall good condition with both sets of prongs present.
